On April 14^th, KICJ and the Korean Association of Aggregate Building Law convened the ‘2^nd Korean Association of Aggregate Building Law Joint Conference’ at Hanyang Unirsity, Seoul.

Session 1 was moderated by Prof. Jewan Kim (Korea University). Prof. Soogon Park (Kyunghee University) spoke on “Ensuring Business in Commercial Building Lease – In Reference to French Law,” followed by a discussion with Prof. Kye-Chan We (Hanyang university) and Heechan Im, attorney at Hanone Law. Session 2 had Prof. Jongduk Lee (Daejin University) speaking on “Housing Lease and Guarantee of Continuance – In Reference to German Law.” Prof. Jae-il Song (Myongji University) and Sang-jun Park from the Korean Association of Residential Properties Management participated in the discussions.

Session 3 was moderated by Prof. Hyuck-Shin Kang (Chosun University), with KICJ Research Fellows Dr. Jeong-jae Lim and Dr. Je-seong Cho speaking on “Housing and Commercial Leases: Major Issues and Solutions.” Hye-jin Seo from the Small Business Cooperation Team of Seoul Metropolitan Government and Prof. Seo-Gi Kim (Sangmyung University) participated in the discussions.

The event concluded with a general discussion on the topic of ‘legal issues of condominium lease.’
