The Stockholm Criminology Symposium organized by the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention was held at the Stockholm City Conference Hall on June 19~21. President Zin-Hwan Kim, Future Strategic Research Division Director Han-Kyun Kim, General Law Research Division Director Jisun Kim and International Strategic Research Center Deputy Director Jea Hyen Soung attended the symposium and discussed policy issues on crime prevention and social safety with Scandinavian criminology specialists. KIC delegation also attended a meeting with the Prison and Probation Service of Sweden. International Cooperation Chief Martin Gilla gave a presentation on the introduction of correction and probation system of Sweden. Director Han-Kyun Kim introduced the corrections and probation system of Korea and both institutions agreed on future cooperation for comparative studies and exchanges on corrections and probation.
