Fifty two delegates from the Executive Training Course on Justice Administration (III) of the Thailand Office of the Justice Affairs have visited the Korean Institute of Criminology (KIC) on June 8th as one of their field studies. The trip was arranged under the guidance of the Director of the Justice Officials Training Institute, Mrs. Sivakorn Kuratanavej, who formerly gave a congratulatory remark during the VFAC Graduation Ceremony, held in Bangkok on behalf of the Ministry of Justice and the KIC. After a brief introduction of KIC, the delegates participated in a lecture titled, "Criminal Justice System and Crime Prevention of the Republic of Korea." The lecture was given by an Associate Research Fellow Mr. Kim, Han Kyun for around 2 hours. The lecture focused on the legal aspects of crime prevention works in the Republic of Korea. At the end of the lecture, Prof. Kriengsak Chareonwongsak, a former Member of Thailand Parliament, presented a souvenir to express their gratitude. After the lecture, the delegates visited the library, currently the largest storage of criminal justice library in Korea with more than 80,000 volumes of publications. The KIC assisted the delegations in organizing visits to the Korean Ministry of Justice and the Department of Corrections. It was a great opportunity for an international exchange of resources and introduction of Korean criminal justice system.
