On Monday, September 23, President Woong Seok Jeong of the Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice (KICJ) visited the Korean National Police Agency (Commissioner Ji Ho Cho) to discuss strategies for enhancing cooperation and exchange between the two organizations.
Representing the National Police Agency were Commissioner Ji Ho Cho, along with directors and officers of the Future Policing Policy Bureau, the Detective Bureau, and the Investigation Planning and Coordination Bureau. The KICJ delegation included President Woong Seok Jeong, Vice President Jun Hwi Park, and Director of Planning and Coordination Office Yeong-jung Kim.
The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions focused on fostering a constructive partnership. Key topics included the sharing of crime statistics, proposals for reforming the criminal justice system, and strengthening collaborative research efforts in public safety and policing.
