The Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice (KICJ), led by President Woong Seok Jeong, held its 16th Annual Academic Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, September 24, in the conference room on the 12th floor.
This year’s prestigious academic award was presented to Professor Na-kyoung Kim from the School of Law at Sungshin Women’s University for her paper titled "A Discussion of the Legitimacy of Criminal Law Intervention for 'Professional Assistance in Suicide'-Focusing on the Analysis of the Unconstitutionality Decision of the German Federal Constitutional Court."
Another award was given to GyeongA Lee, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Criminology at the Korean National Police University, for her paper titled "Crime and Consensus of Collective Efficacy."
Both award-winning papers were featured in the Korean Criminological Review, with Professor Kim’s paper published in Issue No. 135 (2023) and GyeongA Lee’s in Issue No. 133 (2023).
