There is argument opposed to legislation of partially suspended sentence. Because partially suspended sentence has problem of short imprisonment. But some offender need short, sharp, shock. Through partially suspended sentence, long imprisonment can be avoided.
Many country have partially suspended sentence. For example Swiss, Austria, France, U.K. has custody plus order. Custody plus order is a kind of partially suspended sentence. U.S.A has shock probation similar to partially suspended sentence.
