The main tasks promoted in the 2021 task are “New development of the ”, “Improvement of the website,” and “Production of DB search introduction and user guide videos.”

“Crime Prevention Policy Statistics” is a booklet published by the Crime Prevention Data Division of the Ministry of Justice to use as basic data for the establishment and uation of evidence-based crime prevention policies. service was started in 2020, and service was started in 2021, enabling CCJS to integrate and provide statistical data in all areas of the criminal justice system.

Efforts were made to improve the user’s convenience and improve the service by improving the website. The CCJS homepage to be improved will provide users with key information on the initial screen and display various menus provided by CCJS to further enhance user convenience.

In 2021, to enhance the convenience of DB search, one of the most important functions of CCJS, a user guide video was produced to introduce the main contents of DB search and to help DB search. In addition, the tasks performed annually, including data update and reliability verification for each statistical database, were carried out as planned.

In addition, the ‘2021 CCJS User Satisfaction Survey’ was conducted to identify the current service level of CCJS that users are feeling, and to use it as basic data for service improvement and establishment of strategies for upgrading.

Until now, the ‘Crime Statistics Database Project’ has gradually expanded the scope of services to provide more diverse and useful information along with the stable operation of CCJS. In addition, we have strived to improve user accessibility, convenience, and usability while aiming for a user-centered service.

In the future, for the improvement and development of CCJS services, we plan to actively collect various opinions from general users as well as experts in related fields. In addition, we plan to implement a step-by-step development plan so that it can be positioned as a platform for more useful crime and criminal justice statistical services.
