The Twenty-Fifth Session of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) was held under the subject of thematic discussion, “Criminal justice responses to prevent and counter terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, including the financing of terrorism, and technical assistance in support of the implementation of relevant international conventions and protocols” between 23 and 27 May 2016 in Vienna, Austria. Contributions made by KIC to the Session included: (a) statements in the general debate on Item 4 and 6, respectively, on Thematic discussion on Thematic discussion on criminal justice responses to prevent and counter terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, including the financing of terrorism, and technical assistance in support of the implementation of relevant international conventions and protocols and Use and application of United Nations standards and norms in crime prevention and criminal justice; and (b) presentation at the PNI Workshop held on the topic, “Terrorism in all its forms and manifestations: international and national responses” on May 23th.
