The Twenty-Sixth Session of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) was held under the subject of thematic discussion, “Comprehensive and integrated crime prevention strategies: public participation, social policies and education in support of the rule of law” between 22 and 26 May 2017 in Vienna, Austria. Contributions made by KIC to the Session included: (a) statements in the general debate on Item 4 and 6, respectively, on Thematic discussion on comprehensive and integrated crime prevention strategies: public participation, social policies and education in support of the rule of law and Use and application of United Nations standards and norms in crime prevention and criminal justice; (b) presentation on juvenile offenders and rehabilitation at the PNI Workshop held on the topic, “Institutional coordination in crime prevention: international perspectives,” on May 22th.
