KICJ, Korean Juvenile Policy Association, Dongguk University Research Institute of Police and Crime, and the National Youth Policy Institute convened the Annual Fall Conference 2022 at Dongguk University on November 8th.

The conference discussed the protection and treatment of children and out-of-school youth. With Prof. Hyewook Wan from Inha University as moderator, Prof. Min Kyung Han from the Korean National Police University spoke on the treatment of child delinquents and age of criminal minors. Sunghee Bae, Chief of Academic Affairs at Jeonju Juvenile Detention Center and Mijin Ko, attorney at Sun-Han Law Firm participated in the discussions.

Next, Prof. Younoh Cho from Dongguk University moderated the session on legal amendment proposals for enhancing the protection of out-of-school youth, with Prof. Chan-Keol Park from Chungbuk National University delivering the talk. KICJ Senior Research Fellow Dr. Jeongsook Yoon and Mihee Han, Director of Uiwang Youth Shelter under the Korean Juvenile Protection Association, participated in the discussions.
