On February 20, 2024, the Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice (KICJ) hosted the "Criminal Justice and Legal Policy 'National Issue Response' Ministry of Justice 2030 Advisory Council Meeting" to gather young people’s opinions through the Ministry of Justice 2030 Advisory Council (led by Hong Jeong-yoon) for discussing topics for the "KICJ’s National Issue Response Conference" to be held in July.
This meeting was organized to collect public opinions on major national issues and particularly to reflect the legal consciousness of the youth, who are sensitive to social issues and will lead the future society.
President Ha Tae-hoon stated, "There are various events and problems in society that KICJ finds challenging to respond to immediately. Despite this, immediate responses are often demanded. Through this meeting, we hope to reflect a wide range of opinions in the research of the Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice and in the selection of topics for the upcoming conference."
During the meeting, the Ministry of Justice 2030 Advisory Council proposed a variety of research topics covering the entire spectrum of criminal and legal areas, including insurance fraud, sexual violence in universities, voice phishing, crimes relating to foreigners, technology leakage,
