The Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice held a virtual joint academic forum with Korean Association of Probation and Parole Services under the theme of ‘Trends and Challenges in the felony probation and parole’ on November 26, 2021. This seminar reflected the heightened social demand resulted from a series of serious crimes such as Incheon Karaoke murder case, calling for countermeasures against recidivism and reinforcement of felony management. In the seminar, the participants discussed the following topics: ▲ problems in the treatment of serious offenders in facilities and improvement plans (the first topic) ▲ problems in the treatment of serious offenders in society and improvement plans (the second topic)
