On Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019, Dr. In Sup Han, President of the Korean Institute of Criminology (KIC) and Mr. Hyun Kim, President of the Korean Bar Association (KBA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Exchange and Cooperation. Through the MoU, the KIC and the KBA will undertake joint research on the Korean judicial system and a wide array of criminal justice issues, co-host academic symposia, exchange published research and data, and cooperate on enhancing professional skills and resources of their researchers and members. The MoU signing ceremony was attended by President Hyun Kim, Senior Vice President Soo Jin Kim, Secretary-General Jang Hee Lee, Director of Legal Affairs Division Jung Min Kwak, and Director of the KBA Legislation Research Institute Seung Jae Choi from the Korean Bar Association, and President In Sup Han, Director of Planning and Coordination Office Dr. Eun Young Kang, Director of Criminal Law & Justice Research Division Dr. Seung Hyun Lee, Director of Corruption & Economic Crime Research Division Dr. Hae Sung Yoon, and Deputy Director of Planning and Coordination Office Dr. Hyun Wook Chun from the KIC.
