On October 1st, KICJ and the Korean Association of Civil Law convened the '2022 Jurists Conference' on the topic of 'functions and changes in the principle of private autonomy for sustainability.' The event took place at Korea University School of Law.

Opening remarks were delivered by Dong-jin Park, President of the Korean Association of Civil Law, Hyo-shin Kim, President of the Korea Commercial Law Association, and Seon-ju Jeong, President of the Korea Association of the Law of Civil Procedure, followed by congratulatory remarks from KICJ President Tae-hoon Ha and Kitae Hong, President of the Judicial Policy Research Institute.

The first session consisted of a roundatble discussion on the functions and changes in the principle of private autonomy. The second session addressed the topic of sustainability in civil law, with presentations and discussions on ▲ corporate responsibility towards the environment, ▲ societal changes and consumer protection, and ▲ freedom of activity and responsibility of associations.
