Vice President for Research at George Mason Songdo Dr. Roger R. Stough visited the KIC on February 4, 2013. Prof. em. Dr. jur Il-Su KIM of the KIC President, Dr. Joon Oh JANG and Dr. Seong Jin YEON had a meeting with Dr. Roger R. Stough to discuss academic exchange and mutual cooperation between the KIC and the University. At this meeting, Dr. Roger R. Stough introduced Dr. Cynthia Lum and her major academic achievement of “Translational criminology.” She is Deputy Director of the Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy of Department of Criminology, Law and Society, George Mason University and become a would-be joint researcher on the side of the Mason University, if two institutes would agree to conduct joint academic activities. George Mason University is one of U.S. major universities to be established in Songdo area under the project of “Songdo Global University Campus ;SGUC” and is expected to be opened in 2014.
