The staff of the Korean Institute of Criminology, together with President In Sup Han held the new year ceremony to mark their first day of work in 2019 at their headquarters in Seoul, Republic of Korea on January 2nd, 2019. Returning with a fresh look for the new year, all individuals belonging to the institute were gathered at the President’s Office located at the 12th floor and shook hands in turn with the president and senior researchers and exchanged their New Year greetings, wishes, and words of appreciation and encouragement. After the shaking-hands ceremony, they were served the Korean rice-cake-and-dumpling-soup named, ‘duk mandu guk,’ a traditional dish to celebrate the new year.
