KIC successfully holds the Global Anti-corruption Forum

The Korean Institute of Criminology (KIC), in commemoration of its 25th anniversary, held the Global Anti-corruption Forum under the grand theme of “The Challenges and Strategies for Ending Corruption: Zero-Tolerance, Accountability and Integrity” on December 3-4, 2014, in Seoul, Korea. The Forum was co-sponsored by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Justice, and the Anti-corruption and Civil Rights Commission of Korea. The Forum served as a platform for professionals to exchange their experience and best practices on ending corruption. Congratulatory remarks were delivered by Chung, Hong Won (Prime Minister), Hwang, Kyo Ahn (Minister, Ministry of Justice), and Lee, Sung Bo (Chairperson, Anti-corruption & Civil Rights Commission). Prominent professionals in the field, including Johnston, Donald (Former Secretary-General, OECD), Badie, Fran?ois (Head, French Central Service for the Prevention of Corruption, Ministry of Justice France), Kim, Young Ran (Former Chairperson, Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission / Former Justice, Supreme Court), Hong, Yunsik (Vice Minister, Office for Government Policy Coordination / Director, Eradication of Corruption Unit, Prime Minister’s Office), O’Brien, Paul (Deputy Assistant Attorney General, U.S. Department of Justice), Lehmann, Thomas (Ambassador, Embassy of Denmark in the Republic of Korea), Kos, Drago (Former President, Council of Europe’s Group of States Against Corruption / Chairman, OECD Working Group on Bribery), Fariello, Frank (Lead Council, World Bank), and Levi, Michael (Professor, University of Cardiff) participated in the Forum as speakers and panelists.
