The Korean Institute of Criminology and the National Police Agency cohosted the seminar on “Making Better Use of Crime Statistics of the Police” at the Conference room, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on September 5th (Wednesday). The seminar was designed to look closely into how criminal statistics by the police are used and ways to promote their usage. It highlights importance of criminal statistics as they form the basis of criminal justice and policies. During the seminar, participants overviewed and examined current usage of criminal statistics in Korea and other countries.
